Pontypool Chess Club has been one of the most popular chess clubs in the Gwent area for decades. We meet every week for casual and league games. Members play in teams that play in the 4 Nations Chess League,the Welsh Chess Premier League and the local Gwent County leagues.
You don't need to be any good, and you don't need to bring anything but yourself. Sets, boards, clocks and a warm welcome are all provided. Beginners get coaching, improvers get a game that stretches them, and league players get serious competition.
